Managers Meeting

January 30th, 7 pm – 8 pm Oyate Community Center

In attendance: Jeff Oltmanns (President), Jordan Gillis (Vice President), Brad Tyler (Secretary), Steve Riswold (Vice President), and about 35 managers and player reps

Introduce board member and player reps

The board also asked for anyone interested in Tuesday upper player rep position to contact us

Financials

Discussed our finances – the league was in the black this past year. The details of the report are on the league website under the 2019 report.

Discussed what improvements we are trying to make. Field upgrades like canopies over bleachers.

Survey

There will be a survey available to all players in the next few weeks.

The board asked for any questions to be added to that.

Tourneys

A list of tourneys is available on the website

The board asked for anyone with additional tournament to add to the list to contact the board.

Spring Classic

The Spring Classic tournament was moved to June

Slack Chat

Introduced the slack chat app to the managers present

State meeting

Relayed updates from State softball meeting in Pierre

Announced February and March manager meeting dates

Tuesday, February 25, 2020 – 7pm – Board Member election night. Also, first half of league fees due. Hosted at Morningside Community Center (2400 S Bahnson Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57103)

Tuesday, March 31, 2020 – 7pm – Second half of league fees due. Hosted at Morningside Community Center (2400 S Bahnson Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57103)

Lunch meeting (earlier in the day)

In attendance: Jeff Oltmanns (President), Jordan Gillis (Vice President), Brad Tyler (Secretary), Steve Riswold (Vice President), and the following player reps: Nathan Olson & Aaron Bakker

The board and player reps also met for lunch Jan 30th. This meeting was to discuss the topics of the managers meeting. The only things that were discussed there that was not discussed at the manager meeting was the status of the league website, a possible 2nd golf cart, and an update on signage from the Spring Classic board.
